How to Create : Virtual Server Key Pair, Billing Alarm

• Key pair is used to connect to Virtual Servers
• Consist of
• Private Key #29
• Held by the User safely
• Public Key
• In inserted into the Virtual Server we are creating
• How to Create Key Pair ?
• ec2 > Network & Security > Key Pairs
• Also chmod 400 mykeypair.pem in Mac & Linux
• Other Options
• Can also import an existing Public / Private Key pair
• How to Create Billing Alarm?
• Cost Management Console > Preferences > Receive Billing Alert

• CloudWatch Console > Set Region to US East(N.Virginia) > Alarms > Billing > Create Alarm > new list

• Billing Metric is stored in N.Virginia irrespective of where resources in Different region
• Can be an email Address or an SNS topic (which contain multiple email address)
